Happy New Year Creative RE-Users! I am looking forward to 2012 and all it has to offer. I wanted to ask, what are your Creative REuse Resolutions? How will you make an effort to buy less and REuse more? What recipes will you learn to make at home? How will you help out the environment this year? I would love to hear your creative reuse resolutions. Send them to me HERE. Here are a few of my New Year’s Resolutions. *Continue on my quest to refurbish my current wardrobe. *Learn more about what my city actually recycles and try to only buy items wrapped in recyclable packaging. *Support local businesses. I learned about the 3/50 Project at FLAX in San Francisco and was inspired to add it to my list. Maybe not creative reuse, but supporting local business is always good! *Learn how to make homemade dog biscuits. *Add 12 more creative reuse tutorials to the website. That’s just a start. Can’t wait to check all of that off my list. Cheers to the NEW YEAR everyone! Related posts: Creative Link Share: 22 Crafty Ways to Reuse Magazine Creative REuse Wedding Centerpiece.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a craft workshop led by a friend of mine. She taught the group how to hand sew what she calls a “Hipster Robot.” Although she provided a super easy to follow pattern and tutorial, my favorite part about the whole workshop was that every single robot was different. Talk about one of a kind creations! There was a pink sweater version with fangs, I turned my heart box into a little pocket, the creativity went wild. My very first stuffed animal. I love him. I still don’t have a name for him. It’ll come to me one of these days. Just wanted to mention GoGo Craft because there is another workshop coming up on the 28th of June. If you want to learn how to turn an old tired t-shirt into fresh and fun necklace, than sign up!
I shouldn’t need a day in the year to remind me to tell you how thankful I am to have a mother like you. I hope that I tell you enough and show you often what an vast influence you have had on my life. I wake up daily knowing I have a mother who supports me in all my endeavors, no matter how wacky they may be. I have a mother who still takes care of me and always will. I have a mother that showed me what generosity looks like and why we need more of it in this world. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for believing in me. To my mother, my friend. I love you. -Lauren Introducing The Zella. For my mother who has always had an open mind and an open heart. No related posts.
Last week I launched a clothing line of upcycled skirts and dresses last week in my online shop. As a celebration I would love to make a lucky lady her very own custom skirt! That’s right! One of you lucky gals (or guys if you like wearing skirts) will have your very own one of a kind, handmade, upcycled skirt in just a few weeks. How is this possible, you ask? Well, to sign up for the drawing, send an email to upcycledunlimited (at!) gmail (dot!) com with your measurements. I need your waist and hip measurements (in inches). That’s it! In a few weeks or so I will randomly pick a winner and start the custom made sewing process. Good Luck! No related posts. Related posts brought to you by Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.
